Remember when I was wondering if you guys remembered Domino Magazine? I totally loved that page. I thought it was published just for me, just like that chic at the Rave thought the beat dropped for her. (Candace? Do you still read this blog?)
I wanted to tell you about how I made my own Gypsy Wanderlust Throw pillows this weekend cause its a lazy girl’s DIY project. Supplies needed:
18×18 pillow forms from the local fabric store.
20×20 suzani inspired napkins from World Market
Sewing Machine
As if the Pillow wasn’t an easy enough sewing project, this is easier. No need to finish edges – just sew the existing hems together, no sewing of mismatched inside out flipping zippered frayed or otherwise annoying tricked out hems, just a simple sew job, and the gratification of a DIY throw. Took me about 3 minutes and $11 to make each.
My big beautiful gypsy dog feels right at home!!
Thanks for playing,
And now a quick word from our sponsors!
SHOP OUR VIBES:
What a great idea! I never thought of using napkins for fabric. Love it!
isuwannee posted a nod to the Koko collection on PillowsandThrows.com page today on her blog.
and I’m totally mad about the price range. I want all of them.
I had no idea you would like Koko so much or I would’ve told you about Koko a long time ago. All is not lost, Ebay, OneKingsLane, obscure internet sales.
Koko is the pillow on the domino gypsy wanderlust page that I linked to.
Love it. A cute cheap alternative is always fabulous!
ha ha… yes.
fabulous idea! i love those pillows! also what kind of dog is that???
He’s a Newfoundland.
Pillow made of napkins?? Perfect for them droolers!!
Also, P-Dawg is a great model! He’s always looking at the camera.
THAT is totally awesome.
What a great DIY project but Gypsy really got my attention. What a beauty and clearly she is a loved part of your family if she (and all her fur and slobber) is allowed on your bed.
We have a Bernese Mountain dog so I know about fur and slobber but they are so worth it!
Tricia
Thanks Bromeliad…

Hi Tricia.
My gypsy dog is a beautiful boy named Pollock, though he has many nicknames and references. And ya… I’m in love with him – so he totally gets on the bed (with permission….. OR if I’m not around. haha).
I reserached Bernese Mountain Dogs when I was making my decisions. I LOVE their pretty faces and I’m sure you love yours!!
Oh my God. This is exactly what I was browsing for many days and I have eventually found what I need. I really needed help this info has really helped me and I am very happy now. Thank you so much.
