Dining Chair Round Up

Since I’ve painted my dining room Swiss Coffee (a warm but modern white) and I’ve earmarked a a rattan fixture soon to arrive at ShopTEOT, it’s time to think chairs.

We’re going to keep the table that was given to us a while ago. The reason being- there is something appealing about the simple turned legs and it’s just the right size for our life and space but the finish is not ideal. I’ve kicked around the idea of sanding it and clear coating it or maybe learning about the waxing process that leaves oak with an open grain (not sure if that’s ok for eating on).

What we can establish now is that the shape and style of the table will remain and I need to think chairs.
