I think Martha does a lot of things right. One thing that I am particularly nutty for are Martha and her editorial staff’s organizational offerings, specifically in the office. Â Here are some images of offices that have graced the pages of past issues of Martha Stewart Living.Â
Using various hues of chalkboard paint, painter’s tape and a lot of patience, this chalkboard calendar was created
Using dressed up clipboards, a twist on the bulletin board was created.
Easy shelves, gray boxes to hide the mess and a Parsons desk equals visual perfection
More tonal action with a color called Sesame, personal mementos on the desk that make you happy or inspire you
A pattern emerges…It seems that a continuous color combo and storage boxes are the key
Have a small space…how about a hidden office behind sliding doors
The office at the Lily Pond house, fitted in a converted mudroom
If you don’t like the file storage options out there and they can be fairly monotonous, how about fashioning one out of an old trunk
Â
Love the chalk board calendar, the clip boards are a fun idea, but the box idea, while it looks really cool and is seen a lot in magazines, may be bit cumbersome when you really needs something. Too many steps for me but then again maybe I’m just a bit lazy :-)

Ya me too on the Chalk Board Calendar.
Any ideas for where to get the storage boxes (online resources?)- good quality, reasonable price and design cool colors? I need them for my past collections of Domino/Living Etc./Dwell magazines plus all my stuff…..
Sarah!? Help Diana! You’re an online shopping genius.
Tricia-thats a good point about the boxes. I think the trunk thing is a pipe dream but I know theres some serious DIY-ers out there who could handle it.
And oh that desk at the Lily Pond house looks like a farmhouse table, there is a small table with a soapstone top just like that at Karen’s Attic right now! Would be freakin’ fabulous
