Just a tad cabernet fueled, I was getting real worked up about some chairs to Sarah and Amy a few weekends ago.
I needed to find the image to show them, but my normal screenshot catalog system hadn’t been applied and so the dining room I had seen was lost to me. I thought maybe it was Studio McGee, but Sarah knew without looking that it wasn’t. She studies the internet with an acute memory and doesn’t even have to reference her cellphone. She was not wrong. They were not in the Studio McGee feed, and I couldn’t rack my brain for where I had seen them. We just had to move along on my word — that somewhere out there, there were some special dining chairs.
Hallelujah, the image just popped back up into my Instagram feed again!
It was not a Studio McGee project, but rather a Becki Owens project.
And the woven dining chairs are rad!
Ever since, these woven dining chairs have been playing through my mind. They are a wonderful mix of organic texture that would compliment the style in our home. Bringing the trend of macrame together with jute rope is an edgy take on beachy or nautical. I love the midcentury silhouette in a more rustic material.
That material plus the shape suit a SoCal casual vibe well, and in the Becki Owens’ project – the organic quality of these chairs along with the plank floor, the table, the centerpiece and the chandelier are all jiving together so nicely.
Here at TEOT, we love a good textural mix of organic elements in a similar color palette.
Where can you get ya some?
The best deal I have found is at WayFair, where you can get them a pair for $980.
Thanks for playing,
