I really appreciate the renovation effort in Nicole’s kitchen chronicled in her blog The House Diaries. I’m guessing you’ll like many other spots in Nicole’s house too. Their house underwent the kind of renovation I enjoy–a big one.
I like the great vintage scores in the dining nook like the pair of gray chalk painted dressers and the large chalkboard. I also love that Nicole asked the builder to wrap the wall with ship lap, I like that she chose furniture style legs for the cabinets and that they reach for the ceiling and my most favorite choice–the rustic shelves mounted under the cabinets. A beautiful, functional and personal space is what patience and careful planning will get you when renovating. It will come people but it takes time.
