Solid Gold

As promised here are some of the fantastic treasures at Karen’s Attic, my favorite local consigment store.

I called this post “solid gold” for two reasons. Gold mirrors and accessories were plentiful in Karen’s store and brass and gold are making a huge come back right now.

I’ll begin with my favorite item in the store, a vintage gold leaf  mirror. This is really spectacular and I keep pairing it with the color turquoise in my mind.

Vanessa de Vargas owner of Turquoise would go wonky in Karen’s Attic, some of the key decorative elements surrounding Vargas’ green campaign chest are in Karen’s store now.

A pair of modern chairs from the 1970s. Karen says the chairs are getting a lot of inquiries. At $86 each, they are likely to sell quickly. They need to be recovered.

Are you thinking what I’m thinking?  The white French wash basin at Karen’s is a dead ringer for the one that was made functional in the Coastal Living bath. Karen didn’t believe me when I told her, now she will. HI Karen!
