Alia from Sweetshorn Vintage, my friend Kristin and I all ventured to Furbish Studio’s Opening before the holiday. It was my first meeting with Alia in person and we had a two hour round trip car ride to get to know one another.  We had a fun day and some great conversation.  We covered a wide range of topics including David Duchovny’s relational misfortunes, masking wood paneling in a rental, Project Runway and expressions of love and distaste for selected residents of the blogosphere. If you remember, Alia has guest posted about the art of thrifting here and here.
I also had a first time meeting with Jamie Meares from I Suwannee and there was a lot of, “I didn’t expect you to look like that” or “I didn’t expect your voice to sound like that…” After all of the meeting was out of the way, we took several spins around the store.
The store looks fantastic, the furniture looks great and Jamie has tied it all together with some great accessories.
Jamie-We are rooting for you and the success of Furbish Studio!
