Art of Christopher Bettig

Urban Outfitters has recently released some pillows and dinnerware designed by French born artist Christopher Bettig. Any time you put green and aqua together, I’m sold. So you can imagine my immediate excitement about the bird pillow (shown below).

Bettig created the design studio, The Mountain Label.  The website is worth a visit for access to the online shop, to learn more about Chris’ work and to visit his blog. Chris has a diverse group of clientele including but not limited to, Nike, Arden B., Converse, Analogue Books and Four x Four Gallery.

A zine spread that Chris did for Analogue Books in 2008. I admit that I am not as well informed about art as I should be but this image has a real iconic quality and it reminds a bit of Alexander Girard.
