Suzy Hoodless, a UK interior designer, creates bright yet sophisticated interiors. Described as a “British taste maker” Suzy’s interiors have a subtle feminine element, an element that in my opinion can often go very wrong. Suzy’s interiors seem so very right. Take in the sights.

The lighting, THE LIGHTING!
You know Alison pointed something out here which is pretty significant. The lighting plays an important supporting role if not a starring role in almost all of these rooms. Of course, the lighting is obvious in the 2nd image adding to the whimsy of the room bordering on ridiculous but staying inside “fun” territory. The multi-armed floor lamps stand out and the big canopy fixtures remind you of where you are–that being a beach/resort atmosphere. Those breezy fixtures sort of ground the contemporary flair that the room has. Even the small sconces on either side of the desk lend not only light but also another stroke of color. OK don’t listen to me, I don’t know what I’m talking about, but that’s what blogs are for.
Funny thing–I needed to comment on the lighting— I am in lust with the big papery hanging from the ceiling fixtures in the dinning room and what seems to be a sunroom? I absolutely love those fixtures along with the Bright Red multi-arm floor lamp–very exciting.
Normally I don’t learn post on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very compelled me to take a look at and do it! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thank you, very great post.
