If you are 20 and live in Los Angeles

Are you looking for your next style change up? If you are a trend follower and always like to be on the edge of what’s in, then I thought you might want this tip.

Here are a few inspirations to get you thinking beyond traditional, beyond feminine midcentury, beyond SoCal Casual and even beyond bohemian…

It’s Memphis inspired Scandianavian Minimalism and I just want you to think about it for a moment. It’s not for everyone just yet (maybe never), but its certainly becoming ubiquitous and it makes me think of generations younger than mine. Haha.

Dang Girl. That’s pretty fancy for a Millenial, since I hear they are never going to buy their own homes — so I don’t know where they would put this investment piece if not their home…. but I’m no anthropology/social studies major. I studied art, and this is a piece for sure.

This is very LA GIRL right now. It’s so LA girl to dress and exist in this aesthetic world. It’s bubble gum romance and comic book commentary. It’s feminine with pop edge. It’s a smashup of all of the eras of the 20th century in millenial pink and mint. It’s a nod to memphis, with the shapes of art deco and its 80s revival, its the silhouettes of the space age sixties and the colors of the flirty poodle skirt fifties.
