SHOP TEOT at the MART COLLECTIVE

Back in March, we quietly celebrated a new achievement for The Estate of Things.

After sitting on the waiting list since 2015, our day finally came and we have a covetable spot at the MART COLLECTIVE in Venice, CA.

The MART is Venice, Californias take on the antiques market concept. There are over 120 vendors packed in and it is a go-to source for designer faves like Nate Berkus, Leanne Ford and Emily Henderson. It sees foot traffic from area celeb designers and local vintage lovers alike, all scouring for special collectibles and the perfect vintage score.

I felt fairly certain that I could pick and pick and make a space work there for the LA design savvy clientele by narrowing the broad TEOT focus onto vintage artisanal housewares, global textiles and rugs, vintage pottery, and my personal fav, vintage furniture.

My current obsession is rattan and cane and so the space is currently stocked full of great pieces from 70s SoCal culture.

The space is only in its third month but so far we are feeling so great about our presence. Inventory is moving nicely and we have some great furniture turnover already.

Keeping it fresh is something that JJ and I can do with our days together and everyone at the MART recognizes the babe and is so kind to her when she comes in to play shop girl.

Hi JJ!
