Trends: Navy Blue

Blue is my favorite color, specifically a watery, aqua blue. But recently the richness of navy has caught my attention.

Navy everywhere! Wall color, clothing, fabric, accessories, you name it. Shelter mags, show houses and bloggies alike are using navy. Illustration of point,

The tiny upstairs room/office/guest room in my house that will be navy blue very soon, sampled is Ben Moore’s palladian blue and midnight dream. I was trying to decide if I wanted to go aqua or step out and go dark and bold?

Thanks for playing,

  • I have been getting into the navy as well.. especially paired up with some crisp white. I recently purchased the cutest navy dray with a pattern made from white dots. I like the darker color between your two options. Happy painting :)

  • Ah! So much navy goodness! My bedroom is cobalt, red, and white, and every morning I’m happy to wake up surrounded by such a refreshing palette.

I’m really digging the Black and Poole room, too!

  • We just painted our media room hague blue (farrow and ball). I can’t say enough about this color. It’s strong and dreamy. One day, when my husband is not looking, I will lick the walls.
