Reaching

I was always terrified of the monkey bars on the playground as a child. They were such a measure of success for those children that could go all the way across successfully. It took me several attempts and I’m not really sure if I ever made it to the other side without my feet touching the ground.  Such a minuscule thing in the grand scheme but so very important at the time.

  • When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a trapeze artist and I would reach longingly for the Power Lines wishing to flip and wrap and perch and launch from them….. flipping, to be caught by Red Breasted Robins and flung from street to street.

    Your turn!?
