Once we decided to get started with the A-frame project, it started raining and because we’re starting on the exterior first to get the dormer built, minimal progress happened in Week 1.
Here’s what did happen,
We removed the vinyl siding and began replacing the deck. The vinyl siding was covering whats called T-111 wood siding. Popular in the 1970s and 1980s, I kind of think of this material as a faux board and batten siding. It’s not attractive in my opinion and it will be sided over by composite board siding like a Hardie plank material.
