Lauren Liess gets a show on HGTV
You could be eith a design blog addict or an HGTV fanatic (or both, like us) and this will strike your fancy. We all know that a solid design show on HGTV can go in a bad direction…. but NOT THIS ONE. The concept is good. The designer is GREAT (one of our top favs, I have her book, HABITAT, and reference it fairly regularly.) The premise of the show is turning an ordinary, cookie-cutter house from a tract home development or other such neighborhood and transform it. Lauren’s style is a rustic modern, she loves organic textures and she knows how to bring warmth into a home in a clean and natural way. This is a must see pilot and if you like it, please go tell HGTV so they will make more cause we need more show hosts like Lauren Liess and Joanna Gaines in our life… and less cheatin with the nanny husband/budgetstyl/workout clothes wearing/polyester print blouse styles of the Flip or Flop ilk. Yeah, I said it.

Amy Sedaris with her own Design Advice Show!!!?
LOVE this woman, she is eccentric to the max and funny with the kind of silly, punny, irreverant humor that I can really appreciate. I can recall her friendship with Jonathan Adler and her foray into all things house and home from many years ago on the talk show network. I’m thrilled to see her make her debut in this capacity.

Trading Spaces is coming back to TV.
And PAIGE DAVIS is going to host. Sarah and I used to often refer to my own mess of hair as a Paige Davis helment. I noticed first and foremost that he hair seemed more relaxed than ever. I’ll keep my eye out on this one, it could go either way.
