Heffe and I, if we ever make it out of the slog that is escrow, are beginning to allow ourselves to feel some excitement over the home purchase, and start some daydreaming about the lifestyle we will live there.
Since my guy is a homebrew hobbyist, our bar area is going to be an important aspect of the home. We always love the days that our friends and fam come to the house to gather by the grill, so we are thinking that carving out a little space that transitions from the garage to the outdoors is ideal.
We often refer to our lifestyle as Seven Wanders. It’s about hobbies like cooking, homebrewing, our art, woodworking with rotary tool and travel, basically it’s about what we do in our downtime as a family. We thought it would make some great logo play for the home bar.
I started pulling together just a few ideas, including some bottle labels for a series of sour beers that we are going to start brewing as soon as we’re settled in. They take a year to ferment – so there is plenty of time to perfect that part of the plan!
This is just an inspiration board, a meager starting point! What do you think?
For fun, and maybe because I’m slightly crazy and I don’t have a boss leaning over my shoulder daily – commanding that I do work for THEIR company, I spent some time putting together ideas for bottles and labels for our future homebrew brewery.
Thanks for playing,
I tried a sour beer in IL and loooved it, can’t wait to have another
Ah, it’s my most favorite new obsession. It’s been fun trying to track them down at bars and shops throughout LA.
Do you happen to remember what you tried?
Copper is big in my “likes” column so naturally your ideas board for your homebrew brewery looked fantastic to me! I love it. I would also enjoy a bottle of The Seventh Wander when you get it going!
Haha. Thank you Hailey. It will be a wonder for sure, if we ever really bring these sour beer ideas into reality. Cheers to high hopes! I’m sure we will give it our best try.
