The Weekend

26 Mar

Ok so as I said last week, spring is here. I’m definitely feeling oh so glad about that.

However, spring has turned my backyard into a wooly, angry mammoth.  The fact that last weekend Dan applied pre-emergent crabgrass killer and fertilizer really bolstered things. The weed activity in the planting beds looks like a hostile takeover so thats what Dan and I will be doing this weekend.

A few things for your consideration if you find yourself lounging on the sofa this weekend;

Lauren Moffatt’s spring collection, Oh my! Moffatt’s clothing designs make my heart flutter…no seriously. I can’t afford it and I’m soooooo dissapointed.

Step in to a land of perfectly styled, candy coated goodness at Mrs. Lilien.

Catch the new arrivals at Mod Cloth before they are out of stock!

Oh and H&M opened in Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC. Wonder if the home collection will ever be available in the US?

This weekend I’m more likely to be mowing green than spending it… but if you’ve got some money to burn and you want to be socially and environmentally concious while doing it check these sites out

Katherine Ponte recently founded a new online retail site called Ecostasy.  Sourcing green goods from all over the world, Ecostasy promises a concious commerce experience. I’m pretty excited about the swirl seat cushion.

Seven Hopes United, a fair trade market of the world. The twisted olivewood salad servers would be a great gift.

Green with Glamour, a trendy little spot for earth friendly goods. I’ve been thinking about that recycled Ikat throw, it would look pretty sharp folded at the end of the bed.

    Wow – Raleigh gets H&M. I’m impressed.

    Don’t get too excited I went yesterday and it was a semi-bummer.
