Back in the Spring, when Sarah came out to visit, I took her and her girls up the coast and back up into the hills from our home in the Palisades to the sleepy little center of town Topanga Canyon.
It’s only 8 miles away, but it feels like a completely different world up there and its one that I LOVE to visit. It certainly has its very own unique Southern California vibe, but it is one that feels so comfortable to me. It reminds me of my home in the Appalachian Mountains of NC in many ways, little hippie mountain towns, salt of the earth type people and beautiful homes with incredible views.
So Topanga has been on my mind lately. It’s not near time, but I’m already thinking of my second annual pilgrimage to the Inn of the Seventh Ray for birthday dinner.
