Bennett Kitchen: Architectural Choices

These days, the lucky couple on Bennett Street are enjoying a completed cottage kitchen renovation. We’re excited to share the final results of the architectural design choices.

Last time we talked about this renovation, where I’m taking the bachelor out of the bachelor pad, I shared a few rough ideas for the overall approach to this kitchen update.

1950s cabinetry, parquet floors and popcorn ceilings have go to go. We’ll be taking that extra countertop in the doorway with us too.

Classic cottage architectural features will enhance the charm.

New and improved shaker style cabinets are in and awaiting countertops. Taking back the height on the upper cabinets was crucial for giving this kitchen some sophistication.

Surprise! We went turquoise with the pocket door. That pop of color keeps the modern makeover from getting too serious on us!

We will take a closer look at the range hood and the built-in banquette super soon.
