There are always so many images to love out there right?
I told Betsy today in the middle of text rant about a house that I wanted to buy here in this little town and remodel and live my Emily Henderson vintage modern #bestlife in. I didn’t win the mad dash to purchase it in this burgeoning real estate market and thus what results is yet another unimaginative renovation.
What I really want to talk to you about is my disdain for unimaginative renovations happening right here in this small quaint town of Southern Pines. I dream of spelling out for you the design failures of local renovators who have watched HGTV for a few months and said, yep I got this. They pat themselves on the back when they put the finishing touches on the reclaimed barn door and paint the kitchen island navy blue, they bill themselves as designers who can do that to your house too. But there’s too much pressure to maintain the positive voice, so you’re not going to get any specifics from me anytime soon, unless you corner me at a party and I’ve had at least two drinks and then you’ll probably get it out of me.
Let’s begin by rubbing salt in the modern #bestlife wound with this sunlit modern master bedroom, hey Coco take note on how large that bedroom is.
I’m enamored with built-in record storage,
Kristen Panitch you complete me
I often daydream about learning how to embroider and sew. Maybe 2018 is my year?
One of these days I’m going to hang a cluster of hats, I’ve known that this was the right course of action for sometime.
Sometimes it’s important to return to some classics like Carolina Irving’s apartment,
So I did this quick bedroom design at a holiday event at the Weymouth House and I needed more green so I finally got the memo and just cut some branches and put them in a vase and it worked like a charm.
