I know the feeling…sometimes I feel like I’ve been pushed over the borderline too.

In reference to the hair, my Mom asked me at dinner last night if I had heard of people feathering their hair, my response was do you mean like Bo Derek in 10? She said yes. I hadn’t heard of this but I’m not opposed nor am I surprised. BTW when I saw the movie 10 when I was younger, I thought Bo Derek was one of the most beautiful women I’d ever seen.

I have like fifteen window seats in my house…no really I just have two in my bedroom. You’re thinking wow thats nice and I’m thinking no it sucks because they take up all of the wall space in the room. Until I can execute my master plan I’m keeping them both and they need new cushions, french cushions like the one pictured would be just lovely.

I developed a brief obsession with Charlie Chaplin at the end of college after seeing The Kid. For Halloween that year, I made Dan dress up as Charlie and I was the kid, Dan was a great Chaplin and I think we did great on the thrifted costume. I bought a book back then called My Life in Pictures and one of the most haunting images in the book was Charlie without makeup.

Does anyone else think he looks a little like Zach Braff?

In other news –I entered the third trimester this week and I’m experiencing all of the things that go along with that. I’ll spare you the deets. Let’s just say-I’m not one of those pregnant ladies that “never felt better”.

Well coming off of the holiday weekend was tough going for some and if thats the case for you and you’re faced with work to do around the house like I am then the unpleasantness continues. My husband doesn’t even like for me to say the words “yard work”.

I now see the merits of a brand new house or at least a house thats been completely renovated. Old houses hurt more than just wallets and backs…but we do what we have to do, right?

Oh Don, you’re so dapper.

I’ve gotten addicted to watching Mad Men after Netflix made it available for streaming so I’m a little late to the office party but still enjoying it. We watched Mr. & Mrs. Draper and Roger Sterling eat a ribeye, drink an abundant amount of martinis and then finish off with chocolate cake while simultaneously smoking all in the comfort of their dining room. In a flash, I thought of tofu, chickpeas and herbal teas and Dan said, you know most of them probably lived well in to their 80s. We’re smarter now about those things, we’ve made great strides in the medical field since 1960…ok so I’m not going to retreat to the dining room now and light up.

Its a great show I highly recommend it.

My husband emailed me this picture. We have a German Shepherd (Lex) and I want a Bernese Mountain Dog but if we had both we wouldn’t need rugs because the floors would be covered in dog hair.

It’s time to start getting serious about the nursery. I know what I’m like in the third trimester and I know what my limitations are so…we gotta get cracking. Emptying the room out is first on the docket…baby steps.
