A Sentimental Cottage Style Home Tour Before this Pinehurst Family Leaves on a Military PCS

Today’s TEOT Home Staging Home Tour features the home of Laura that she shares with her husband, and their precious 5 month old daughter, Ms. Mattie Lue.

Laura enlisted Sarah to help her get her cozy Pinehurst home listed for rent. Her family is one of the many Military families in the area that recently received PCS orders.

For those of you who are not familiar with military life or don’t know anyone who is in the military, PCS means permanent change of station and to military families that means pack up and move to another town or country and join a new community.

So we headed over to this home a little over a month ago for some quick styling and zshushing and photographing for the rental listing.

Working with Laura was super fun. She has an easy going, casual way about her that we really admire, a real salt of the earth kinda girl, right up our alley. She hails from Tennessee originally and she brought her Southern wit, charm and humor with her.

Additionally, she packs a sentimental nature and it is so lovingly apparent in the way she has styled her collections throughout her home. We have heard the wise designers of our day say time and time again, that if you love it then its never wrong. We think that Laura’s home is a perfect illustration for this mantra.

Here is an opportunity to peak around, and look at the trinkets on the shelves and the historic photographs on the walls, and get a glimpse into this particular family and their sweet love for the generations before and the ones to come.

We were honored to style it up and give it just a little extra TEOT glaze. Thanks Laura for sharing your home and life with all of us, and thanks to the lovely Rachel Garrison for the lovely photography.

We also worked with Laura in the bedrooms. Those shots came out lovely.

But we think you’ll especially like the nursery.
