SHOPTALK…. It’s almost time

The Grand Opening of TEOT SOPI

Hi friends. It’s Betsy.

As my fellow bloggers may relate –  I feel mad guilty when I let the posts slip on down to the bottom of the growing To Do List. But, it’s been happening.

We’ll get back to sharing inspirations when we have our heads above water. In this era of supreme busy-ness, I’m trying not let myself or Sarah get too precious about what we can reasonably get done. This is a dream project and we have a lot riding on it. Its easy to get super stressed out.

But we have both been in stressful jobs before… and this isn’t that. This is what we make it and we really want it to be good so that people like it and support it! I know that business owners are all telling the same story, about long days and sleepless nights, and missing your spouse and all that. I hope that when we look back on this time it feels like the hard work was well worth it.

Until we are back in the blogging saddle that brought us here…. we are doing our best to save all of our creative juices and put them into carefully selecting the best collection of home goods, vintage furnishings and tons of great global gifts and eclectic collectibles for your home!

We open in less than 2 weeks. SEPTEMBER 8th.

It’s VERY exciting to see it all come together. We have NEON, we have barcodes, and we have achey bodies from all the fun, hard work.

If you are in the Southern Pines vicinity and you want to make it out for our opening party, send me a note and we’ll make sure you have the details. betsy at theestateofthings.com.

Love to all of you and thanks for being here with us through thick and thin bloggy times to shop times! <3

  • These are exciting times for you and Sarah. Enjoy the journey. Wishes for a wonderful opening day and all the days beyond. I think I know some proud parents in NC whom you just might love as well.

    • Thanks for the warm wishes Aunt Jeannie!
My parents have been so amazing to come out and help us get the space ready. They were a big part of this all coming together, I’m proud of them too and I definitely love em. They are some hard working people and I’m lucky to have them! <3
