I’m pretty constantly inspired by the work that comes out of a recent Instagram follow @laurelwoodgems. She’s got an obsession with dip-dye, tassels and macrame – and her photography and presentation is killer. When she popped out this image, I knew I was destined to be a long time admirer. Oh man, I can’t even imagine being able to view the world through the rose colored glasses that this fine artist must have. Her commitment to the dusty lavenders and oranges of a desert sunset, and how extra-terrestrial the landscape of the Southwest can feel is so obviously inspired her lunar & planetary watercolors.
