Music Friday: Tame Impala

Its snuck up on me. Psychadelic Rock is happening, it can’t be denied. It’s creeping into playlists and venues and radio stations and music blogs everywhere… Especially here in Los Angeles.
This song is getting a LOT of airplay at the radio station where I work. Admittedly when I first listened to Tame Impala to see what all the hype was about I gave it a couple spins and passed right past it, cause I confess that LATELY I like folksy bleeding heart americana bands OR I like danceable electronic pop/anything that has a robot in it (its especially awesome if its both bleeding heart folk and robot… like this discovery I had today…) – but yeah, I just didn’t think that any 4 piece psychrock was gonna be my thing.
HOWEVER… every time this song comes on the radio I really like it… So – yeah. I just got the whole album, and now I’m gonna be paying a lot of attention to psychadelic rock.
