Pinehurst Living

Have you ever heard of Pinehurst, NC?

Unless you are a fan of the game of golf, chances are you haven’t heard of this storybook resort town.  Pinehurst is my neighbor just a few miles to the northwest.

Although she was right in my backyard, it took a post written by Matters of Style and a feature in Southern Living for me to discover Megan Young.

Megan’s home was recently featured in Southern Living.  A home that I may very well have driven by many times.  The home appears to be a fresh take on a classic look hence the title of SL’s article “Tradition with a Colorful Twist”.

I’ll let the images do the talking.

Some of Megan’s own artwork is included in this vignette

Young’s house was also featured in a local publication called Pinestraw magazine. The exterior of the house is shown in that feature and I think Megan was successful in restoring the original charm of her home, transforming it from a golf cottage in to a proper home for a family–with lots of style.

Megan’s style and experience is something I thought was missing here.  I’m very excited that people like Megan are working and designing here in my area.

Oh wow! I just commented and then went back to read that it is in Pinehurst!!! Oh even more wonderful now! It is so refreshing to know that there are eclectic interiors in that area. I work there from time to time and most of what I’ve seen is so very stuffy and traditional. . .thanks for sharing doll!
